Best Solution: Trade In
Why You Shouldn't Wait
🔥 Fire Risk
Non-certified batteries and incompatible chargers are a serious fire hazard in homes.
🚨 Seizure = $0 Value
Illegal devices may be seized and disposed of by authorities without compensation.
⚖️ Owner Liability
Improper use or disposal can lead to fines or prosecution if a fire occurs.
Cheap, But Safe?
Think again. Many low-cost devices lack the necessary safety certifications.
Trade in before your device becomes a liability.
This Has Already Happened in Singapore
Fatal HDB fire caused by charging PMD battery with incompatible parts

The 22-year-old man is jailed for negligence causing death by a negligent act, by using a charger that was incompatible with his PMD battery.
Owner obtained all three components (PMD, battery and charger) from different sources solely because they had the cheapest price on Carousell and knew that the device was not registered and did not check its compliance at that time.
Battery safety and legality are not optional.
